PITHRUVEDHI-MATHRUJYOTIS
Family organizations at St.Sebastians church- Pithruvedhi and Mathrujyotis enlighten the value of family in our life.
Parents ” are not the friends nor the masters of their children’s lives, but guardians of this incomparable gift from God”. This was stated by the Pope Benedict XVI during the Angelus, recalling Jesus’ family. “The love, loyalty and dedication of Mary and Joseph” he said, “are an example for all Christian spouses” for their role as guardians of their children’s lives. In Jesus’ family, he added, there is a “mystery of faith and humanity” which we can enter through the example of Mary and Joseph. Pope says “we pray that every child is welcomed as a gift of God, and is supported by the love of the father and the mother to be able to grow as the Lord Jesus ‘in wisdom, age and grace before God and men’”.
The members of the Pithruvedhi and Mathrujyotis are very active throughout the year and they have conducted Prayer services, House visits, Charity works and Counseling classes.
